Sizing is about right. The waist bottom is an elastic pull tight rather than fitted complete. I would say that they are thinner and less warm than the previous model. Good for a mid layer but in any winter conditions you will need a jacket over them

I bought this sweater for my husband and he is very pleased with it. It is so light and keeps him dry and so warm.
It’s a neat fit but with room for layering. I have played in both light rain and high winds and found it to keep out both effectively. It is also surprisingly warm and I had to quickly remove it when the sun came out. Ideal for autumn and spring and saves on using waterproofs in the summer during light showers.
