The Corporation is a global sports equipment and sportwear company headquartered in Japan. It was founded in the Japanese city of Osaka in 1906 by Rihachi Mizuno and his younger brother Rizo Mizuno. They started-off with a small shop selling baseballs and other sports equipment. In the following year, They began selling order-made athletic wear. They entered the golf business in 1933 with the launch of Star Line, the first Japanese made golf clubs. They expanded its golf club showroom in 1935 to become the world's largest showroom. Over the past few decades, they has sponsored some of the prominent sports personalities including athlete Carl lewis, tennis player Ivan Lendl and golfer Nick Faldo.

They are pioneers in using the ancient Japanese art of forging in their irons. The consistency of each forged iron head allow golfers to accurately predict the distance potential of each iron within the set. They use 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel which provides greater consistency to its forged irons. The MP range of irons are built from Grain Flow Forging technique and are lot popular with professional and amateur golfers.

They have continued to gain popularity with all levels of golfers andhave been played by many of the world's top professional golfers including Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Luke Donald and Sandy Lyle.
