Mizuno Wedges News, Advide and Buyers Guide
In designing a wedge, the biggest challenge currently facing golf club makers is how to address the player's desire to stop the ball and the new golf rule that inhibits the club maker from doing what the player wants. With the help of the industry's top players, Mizuno Golf has stepped up to the challenge by re-examining the wedge to look for ways of helping the player without violating the rule.
NEW Mizuno T7 Wedges
The new T7 forged wedges deliver Mizuno’s distinctive soft Grain Flow Forged feel but with significantly enhanced groove durability thanks to a small infusion of Boron within its steel.
- Mizuno S5 Blue IP Wedges - Mizuno’s Quad Cut Grooves are CNC Milled after the forging process to ensure every single wedge sits just inside the USGA’s groove limits. A wider shallow groove on the higher lofts (54-62 degrees) and a deeper narrower groove on the lower lofts (49-53 degrees) are designed to maximise spin from both full and partial shots.
- Mizuno MP T5 Chrome Wedge - The MP-T5 forged wedge brings these benefits into the short game with Mizuno's Grain Flow forging process delivering the best feel and workability in the area that matters most - the scoring zone.
