Titleist News Reviews and Buyers Guide
Everyone knows that Titleist golf clubs a beautifully made and very sort after. They have a dedicated following both with professionals and amateurs. For years it has been felt that Titleist only made golf clubs for the lower handicapper and elite golfer however this trend has now changed. Titleist is no longer a compromise on forgiveness.
The new season brings us the 913 series which consists of a driver, fairway wood and hybrids. The irons and wedges remain unchanged.
The 913 drivers have two options which are the D2 and D3 versions and although the D2 is expected to be the most popular we would expect that the D3 version will have a lot of admirers. It uses the same hosel system called Sure Fit Tour hosel which gives amazing adjustability
Titleist say that the new 913 it will offer more speed, more distance and better performance. (what more can you want) The extra ball speed is achieved with the new insert which delivers a higher ball speed. More distance is achieved through better launch conditions and this is down to something called the neutral axis and this is the key variable when designing a driver.
The 913 fairway woods also have two options which are the 913F and the 913F.d. The latter is a deep faced model which will have a broad appeal as previously it seemed that only the strongest players could gain a flight from it however now it is easy for all levels to use. The 913F sits beautifully on the ground and is perfect to use from any fairway even from the tightest of lies. If you are going to use a fairway wood mainly for teeing off then you should choose the F.d however for regular fairway use the F will be the better options.
Finally the new 913H Hybrid is an outstanding upgrade to the previous model. It also has the sure fit hosel so it can be dialed in to get the perfect loft and flight and like the fairway wood it sits nicely behind the ball and can only inspire you to hit great shots.

It's a Double for Mcllroy
Rory Mcllroy ended the season on a high when he won the end of season Dubai World Championship. He won by two shots from Justin Rose however it was not a comfortable win as Rory finished with 5 consecutive birdies to win by two shots. This ended an amazing year for Rory that has left him number one in the world and a total of five wins including the important major championship win.
This is likely to be his last win using Titleist golf equipment but titleist can be proud of the performances that he has had with the brand. Lets hope he continues the same form with Nike.

Rory Mcllroys Golf Bag
Although it is virtually certain that the world number one will be leaving titleist and moving to Nike it is still worth seeing what is currently in his golf bag as we are certain that these sticks and ball are working for him. It was interesting to see that Titleist eventually persuaded Mcllroy to change his fairway wood as for many years he was reluctant to move from his 906 fairway wood
