Mizuno Golf News, Advice and Buyers Guide
The Osaka-based Mizuno Corporation is a global corporation that makes gear and sportswear for a variety of sports activities such as rugby, basketball, football, track and field, cycling, table tennis and athletics. However, Mizuno Corporation has gained a reputation as one of the world’s foremost manufacturers of golf clubs and related accessories. Their clubs have been used by many top pros, including Tiger Woods, who first started using Mizuno clubs while in college and continued using them when he turned professional.
- The JPX825 Graphite Driver provides golfers with one of the most forgiving clubs in its line, with is sure to intimidate with its threatening-looking black IP club head that hugs the ground to produce razor-straight soaring drives. The driver is made with five pieces of titanium, with varying grades of the metal used for different parts of the club. The club head uses Ultimate Dynamic Stability technology to embed a heavy weight inside the 0.5mm head so that a heavy weight can be embedded in it to ensure that balls go deep into the fairways when hit by launching them high with a low backspin.
- The JPX825 Graphite Fairway Wood offers extreme forgiveness with a large footprint that hugs the ground and is designed to send the ball in a straight and high trajectory towards its target. In addition, it uses a new L-face construction to create a rounded edge between the face and the sole so that the face can flex as if it had a much larger surface to provide higher flights and faster speeds that come close to those allowable by the R&A/USGA.
- The MP-64 Diamond Muscle Golf Irons offer more forgiveness than the traditional irons by providing the shallowest cavity on the club head as well as a thick muscle pad behind the clubface to produce a smoother feel. The MP-64’s smoother feel is complemented by a softer-edged sole shape that adds playability and adds less defined edges to create more consistent distance control and interaction with the turf. In addition, the clubs are Grain Flow Forged from a single mild carbon steel billet at the company’s Hiroshima facility to ensure a club with outstanding precision.

The MP range of irons are built from Grain Flow Forging technique and are lot popular with professional and amateur golfers.
The woods are built from Hot Metal steel clubface and features an Ultimate Dynamic Stability design.
