PING's engineering team have introduced several new technologies for the new drivers that are shared by all three models in the core G430 lineup. PING has increased speed and distance gains using Carbonfly Wrap technology without lowering its industry-leading levels of forgiveness. To boost these ball speeds on strikes across the face, a shallower and thinner variable thickness forged face is combined with variable roll radius technology. By fine-tuning frequencies through each head with the help of a new internal rib structure, PING has enhanced the sound and feel of the G430.
In addition to these fundamental technologies, PING has specifically improved each head to fit key groups of golfers and produce tangible improvements in ball speed, sound and feel.
Adjustable backweight in SFT
A 22g moveable tungsten weight has been introduced to the 460cc Straight Flight Technology head, allowing golfers to dial in the centre of gravity (CG) and deliver up to 20 yards of right-to-left shaping between the Draw and Draw+ settings. This makes it the ideal choice for those seeking a driver with maximum forgiveness and launch, with benefits to counteract a slice if needed.
