Masters Lignum Golf Tee is not comparable to any quality wood or PVC because of its unique production process and the used elements. For the Lignum Tee wood and plant materials, polymers and natural glue are used.
The elements are cut into microparticles, and the micro granules are formed by jet moulding, producing a more durable but biodegradable tee. The Lignum tee is more flexible and increases ball launch speed up to 20% compared to common wood or PVC tees.

I've been using LIgnum tees for a while and still think they are the best. The 2 3/4 inch allow for use with all clubs and it is easy to adjust them to the right height. A great product.
