Fluidform Direct Comfort Technology is a state change process where fluid, lightweight material is injected into a shoe mould to form a solid, shock-absorbent sole. Using Ecco's proprietary state-of-the-art lasts – engineered to deliver high levels of comfort, following the anatomy of the human foot, and contemporary, versatile styles – Fluidform provides an exceptional fit-and-feel that starkly contrasts to the complex, flat sole parts of conventional shoemaking techniques. With this fine-tuned balance of cushioning and rebound, Fluidform also ensures an integral, supple bond between the upper and the sole, without any glued or stitched assemblies, leading to reliability and durability that will stand the test of time.
Ecco Dynamic Traction System (E-DTS) provides more than 800 traction angles for excellent grip in all playing conditions and is an award-winning hybrid outsole design. The sole unit comprises resilient, wear-resistant thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and roughly 100 moulded traction bars. It is also incredibly light, flexible, and shock-absorbing. Due to its low profile, the golfer is more stable, feels the ground, has more traction, and has more swing power.

Fantastic shoes
Brilliant golf shoes. Very comfortable with the added bonus of removing the inner sole for wider feet.
First time I've bought Ecco golf shoes but I've been less than impressed by some of the popular brands so decided to try these. After wearing them 2/3 times a week for the last month so far I'm impressed. They're comfortable and supportive. Haven't worn them in the rain yet but walking in wet grass hasn't resulted in wet feet. Goretex footwear can sometimes make your feet hot but that hasn't been an issue so far. Depending upon which colour you go for the price of the S3 shoes can vary by as much £50. I was happy with the price of these from The Golf Shop Online and they were delivered quickly and on time.
