The Ghost range has proved a particular landmark for TaylorMade as it debuted the famous 'flat matte' white finish which has since proved so successful on the company's metalwoods.

The latest flagship putter is the Ghost Manta, a high-MOl 'sunken' mallet construction with two 50g tungsten weights on the heel and toe designed to stabilise the head and produce more consistent speed on off-centre hits.

There's also a third adjustable weight in the back-centre of the sole to help fine-tune the action (additional weights may be purchased separately).

Black alignment lines make for an effectively bold contrast at address.

Meanwhile, feel-sensitive players should compare the Manta's Surlyn version of the company's patented Pure Roll face insert with the titanium alloy insert on the Ghost Tour Series.

Finally, the White Smoke Series is an entirely new line this year pitched at more affordable price point. Its anti-glare white finish is not with quite up to the lavish paint job of the Ghost, but the three models sport the same Pure Roll Surlyn insert as the Manta, along with three black alignment lines.
