It also allows its users to adjust the club’s head for more precise shots. In addition to this, this wood makes use of the TFC 149F graphite for its shafts. Ping Anser Fairway Woods Overview from Ping
The anser is ping’s first adjustable fairway wood. This new technology allows you to fine tune the loft of your fairway wood in ½ degree increments. Through trajectory tuning you can optimize your launch conditions and increase your total distance.
The new adjustability feature is engineered to be easy to use and easy to understand. Just loosen the screw and turn the hosel sleeve to a new position and retighten. It’s either we add or subtract a half degree of loft. Keep in mind that by adding loft to the club the face closes slightly at address and subtracting loft the face opens slightly.
However we’ve designed this technology to minimize face angle effect so you can focus on fine tuning the height of your trajectory to optimize your club to suit the playing conditions. The anser fairway wood offers a high MOI to help with those miss hit shots. The external weighting and sole screw aid in driving up the MOI by keeping the mass well away from the center of the hit.
Remember the higher the MOI the less twisting of the club face on a miss hit. This means more energy is transferred into the ball and more distance for you. The CG on the anser fairway is positioned low and deep in the head making this club easy to launch high while maintaining a penetrating ball flight. This will help in adding arch as well.
The ansers are available in 3, 4, and woods that have a traditional classic shape with a more squared loft lead edge to help with alignment. A non-glare matte black finish helps keep you focus on the shot so you can launch the ball longer and more accurately time after time.
