PING's engineering team has added several new technologies for the three models that make up the core G430 lineup. Using Carbonfly Wrap technology, PING has increased speed and distance gains without reducing its industry-leading levels of forgiveness. A shallower and thinner variable thickness forged face combined with variable roll radius technology increases these ball speeds on strikes across the face. PING has improved the sound and feel of the G430 by fine-tuning frequencies through each head with the aid of a new internal rib structure.

Carbonfly Wrap, a lightweight, 8-layer composite, covers the crown and wraps around from heel to toe, saving weight and lowering CG for greater ball speeds and higher MOI whilst reducing spin. This weight saving, combined with a moveable 22g weight, allows golfers to fine-tune CG placement to optimise shot shaping and launch characteristics from the tour-style 440cc head.
