Ping Prodi G Junior Clubs – Fitting Chart & Size Guide
Ping Prodi G Junior Clubs – golf clubs that grow when you grow.
The latest range of Ping Prodi G golf clubs offers the junior golfer the same score-lowering technology of Ping adult clubs but is custom-engineered to fit golfers of ages between 7 and 13 and between 4 5″ and 5’2″.
What sets these clubs apart from previous models is that they can be ordered fully custom-fitted, enabling the junior golfer to tailor them perfectly to their age and height. Additionally, Ping’s revolutionary “Get Golf Growing” program offers a special benefit: if you purchase at least five Ping Prodi G clubs in a single transaction, the golfer is entitled to a one-time, no-charge service to have the clubs re-shafted, lengthened, re-weighted, and re-gripped. So the bottom line is that there is no need to change the set as the junior grows between the ages of 7 and 13.
How do I work out the best fit for my child?
To make things nice and simple, use the Ping Colour Code Chart below to find the best fit. You can print this out if needed, which may help when you are measuring your child.
Working out the Lie Angle (Colour Code) is only necessary for irons, wedges, and putters.
Step One – Measure from the wrist to the floor in either inches or centimetres and find the measurement on the left-hand side of the chart. Ensure accurate measurement from the crease of the wrist. The top tip is to wear golf shoes or something similar (like trainers) that have the same heel depth.
Step Two – Measure the overall height of the junior golfer in either inches or centimetres and find the measurement along the top of the chart. Again, ensure that golf shoes or similar footwear are worn.
Step Three – Using both measurements, find the box where they intersect. For example, follow the row from the wrist to the floor measurement and stop when it intersects the column corresponding to your overall height.
This will then give you a colour. These colours refer to lie angles, with green indicating 2 degrees of upright, blue indicating 1 degree of upright, black representing the standard, red indicating 1 degree of flat, and orange indicating 2 degrees of flat. If you do not produce colour, you need to go down to green or up to orange! If you have two colours in the same box, use the darker colour. Write this colour down as you will need it to order.
What flex do I need?
Using the same method as above, re-examine the box where the two measurements intersect.
Looking up to the top of the chart, you will see the shaft flex as either regular or stiff. Again, write this down as you will need it when ordering.
What length do I need?
Using the same method, re-examine the box where the two measurements intersect. Looking to the bottom of the chart, you will see the +’s or’s that need to be added or taken off a standard length club. There are separate results for (Drivers, Fairways and Hybrids), Irons and Putters. Again, write this down as you will need it when ordering.
What golf bag would best fit these clubs?
Using the same method, re-examine the box where the two measurements intersect. Follow the chart down, and you will see either a Ping Prodi G 30 Bag or a Ping Hoofer Prodi G34, depending on the golfer’s height.
How do I order?
