The Looks
Classic Titleist. Black crown, slightly darker face, exactly what loyal Titleist players expect. The GTS2 has the friendliest shape, the GTS3 is sleeker, and the GTS4 takes on a deeper, tour-inspired profile with a distinctive aerodynamic “exhaust pipe” detail out the back. Mark makes the point that the looks aren’t an afterthought — manufacturers obsess over visual perception, and Titleist nails it for the better player.
The Tech

At Woburn, Mark touched 170 mph ball speed, with consistent numbers in the 165–167 range — top-end for him. Back in his studio, the numbers held up. He puts this driver firmly in the “fastest” bracket, though he’s honest that the real-world difference over other top drivers comes down to one or two mph of ball speed.
On the Course
This is where it shone. The driver responded to whatever Mark put into it — swing it faster and it delivered; ease off for a control shot and it complied. Forgiving on mishits, professional feel, and confidence-inspiring in play.
The Price
Premium, as you’d expect from Titleist. Mark points out that Titleist’s tour dominance is partly tour staffing economics, but the performance does back up the marketing — unlike some brands that, in his words, are “just shouting because they’re told to shout.”
