The TaylorMade M2 Driver

It say’s something when 15 out of 17 Nike staff players turned to TaylorMade at the end of this season and chose to play the TaylorMade M2 driver (without being paid to do so) at the hands of Nike pulling out of the hardware business earlier on this year. Rory Mcilroy started the trend and now Tiger Woods wants in on the action, it looks like they will have to get use to another new change as TaylorMade Golf have the new M2 driver. Things are about to get a whole lot longer and forgiving.

The TaylorMade M2 driver was the most forgiving driver the brand has produced to date, and now that driver has been picked apart expertly by the engineers at TM to make the M2 even better. TaylorMade know how a speed pocket works and with this model it has been created deeper and more flexible, what that means to you, is greater ball speed and forgiveness from off centre strikes.

Whats It About?

Where to start, the TaylorMade M2 driver has been designed and created around Geocoustic technology, to give you exceptional sound and feel. This has been created through advanced sole shaping technology with a two tiered contour, which has increased the club face and address footprint by 7% meaning, you’ve guessed it, more forgiveness. TaylorMade have introduced external sound ribs, that will actively manage the vibrations and pitches, to produce that exceptional sound and feel when you strike one off the tee!

The TaylorMade M2 D-Type

Another addition to the M family line up is the TaylorMade M2 D Shape Driver. A draw biased M2 driver to hit it long with a draw. This has been created to help eliminate all those allusive shots that miss to the right, helping you to gain more distance off the tee, with the promotion of a drawing ball flight.

Final Finish to Finish Concept

Just like the new M1 driver the TaylorMade M2 has been built, with the up most detail in such incremental way’s, the experts have truly thought about everything. A final “finish to finish” concept has been applied, that means the titanium head, carbon crown and carbon toe panel, are all painted separately before being assembled together, this reduces the amount of paint needed to cover the joints in between each section, meaning more weight is being saved. This will be sure to have an influence on your ball flight.
