Ping Grip Sizes – How to Choose The Correct Golf Grip
If you have read our blog on choosing the correct grip, you know that grip size is crucial for getting the most out of your golf clubs and hitting the ball straighter.
Ping, like the colour code they use for lie angles, also offers a unique way to measure and determine if you need a grip of a different size. Ping grip sizes are currently available in six colours, with “white” being the standard size for men and “red” being the standard size for women. If you follow through with the chart, you can quickly determine what colour would best suit you.
To use the chart, you need two measurements. The overall length of your hand, along with your longest finger. Make sure when you measure your hand, it is from the crease of your wrist to the tip of the longest finger. If you interpret your data on the chart, you will find the colour matches your size.
Ping also offers a variety of custom grips. However, their standard option is the Ping Golf Pride Grips 360 Tour, which is made to the highest quality and provides a great feel.
We can’t stress enough the importance in getting yourself correctly custom fitted, and by taking the steps above, you will make sure that you can play your best golf when using Ping golf equipment. Please also take the time to check your length and lie angle in Understanding the Ping Colour Chart.
Ping also offers a new smart grip called the Arccos that comes standard with the Ping G440 Driver Range or the Ping G440 Irons. What is exciting about these grips is that they are custom-built with an embedded sensor to record and analyse every shot taken during a round automatically. When paired with this, you can download an app.
Standard on every G710 iron is the Arccos Caddie Smart Grip, which is custom-built with an embedded sensor to automatically record and analyse every shot taken during a round when paired with the Arccos Caddie app. A small charge applies, but they offer you an opportunity to gain instant feedback on your game.
Here at The Golf Shop Online, we acknowledge the importance of custom fitting and firmly advise that when ordering a new set of grips, you seek advice from your local golf professional or club fitter, or contact us directly. We can connect you with our Professional staff to advise you in the best way possible.
If you would like to discuss any aspects of the Ping grip sizes and colour chart or to review your recommendation, please feel free to contact us. Our team of staff and PGA professionals will do everything possible to assist you.
