Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedges Review
The Highest Level Of Wedge Performance, Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedges
When it comes to golf wedges, the Titleist Vokey Wedges are in a league of its own. Crafted and engineered by master craftsmen Bob Vokey, he never fails to impress. This year Titleist introduce the SM7 Vokey Wedge.

Titeist Vokey SM7 Wedges
The Spin Milled 7 Wedge, is aimed at improving 3 key areas of wedge play. Precise distance gapping, shot versatility and maximum spin.
It has not been a major overhaul for the SM7, however 2 new colour finishes in brushed steel and jet black have been introduced to compliment the popular tour chrome, making these wedges aesthetically very clean, and pleasing on the eye.
Not only this, but the SM7 also has a wide range of loft, bounce and grind options which have been optimised to maximise wedge performance and give you a combination that fits in to your game perfectly.

Player Benefits
Progressive Centre Of Gravity
- The SM7 has a new progressive centre of gravity, which has been optimised for each loft, bounce and grind. This results in improved distance control, tighter shot dispersion and exceptional feel throughout your wedge set. The centre of gravity gets lower in the low lofts and higher in the high lofts, producing consistent ball flight and trajectory control.
Spin Milled Grooves
- The Spin Milled process on SM7 wedges is unique to each finish and loft resulting in the sharpest, most consistent groove edges. SM7 wedges feature a Parallel Face Texture for tighter quality tolerances and maximum spin. SM7 also features a distinct groove design between lofts: low lofts (46-54) are designed with narrower, deeper grooves, while higher lofts (56-62) have wider, shallower grooves. The result is superior spin and control on all wedge shots. Additionally, Vokey’s proprietary heat treatment process produces best-in-class groove durability for longer lasting spin.
Multiple Grind Options Design to Taylor Your Game
- Played, proven and perfected on Tour, Vokey wedge grinds are the game’s benchmark in creating shot versatility for any level of player in any type of condition. “Wedges need to be versatile and every player is different. It’s never one size fits all for wedges. That’s why we have many grind options.”
– BOB VOKEY
Grind Options
The Titleist Vokey SM7 Wedges are available in 6 unique grind options, all of which have been carefully crafted to work in perfect harmony with loft and bounce.
The Vokey wedge has a grind combination to suit everyones style and ability of play, for more information on the wedge grinds check out our Buyers Guide
