Powakaddy CT10 GPS Trolley: Full Buying Guide 2026
Quick Verdict on the Powakaddy CT10
The Powakaddy CT10 is the all-new flagship of the CT range and the trolley that replaces the hugely popular CT8.
Every model comes with a stunning new 3.5-inch full colour portrait touchscreen, a fully integrated GPS loaded with over 40,000 courses, and the compact Simple-2-Fold chassis.
Choosing the right Powakaddy CT10 comes down to two simple decisions: how many holes you play between charges, and whether you want the EBS Automatic Electronic Braking System for downhill control.
The differences that matter are the battery capacity and the optional braking system. One quirk worth noting up front: both 36 Hole models are priced at £1029, so the EBS 36 Hole gives you downhill braking at no extra cost over the standard 36 Hole.
Every Powakaddy CT10 sold by The Golf Shop Online is covered by our 60-Day Returns Policy and backed by PGA professional Mark Crossfield and our expert team. If you are unsure which Powakaddy CT10 is right for you, this guide walks you through every version in plain English.

Powakaddy App connection, Drop Flag Technology, and a 2-year trolley warranty (up to a 5-year battery warranty when registered).
Why the Powakaddy CT10 is the Flagship You Want
Powakaddy have been building electric golf trolleys in the UK for decades. The CT range sits right at the top of their compact lineup, and the Powakaddy CT10 is the newest flagship.
It takes everything the CT8 did well and pushes it further.
The headline change is the screen. The Powakaddy CT10 introduces an all-new 3.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Full Hole View and 50% more viewing area than a similarly sized widescreen.
Behind it sits a faster 128MHz processor, a fully integrated GPS, and a suite of smart features that most golfers only ever dream of having on a trolley.
In short, the Powakaddy CT10 is a golf caddy and a premium GPS unit in one. It folds to the size of a small piece of luggage.
It rolls up hills without complaint. It knows every course you play in stunning detail.
And it holds your bag more securely than anything else on the market, thanks to the MAG-LOK system.
Mark Crossfield and our team of PGA professionals have spent time with every Powakaddy trolley in the current lineup.
The Powakaddy CT10 is aimed at golfers who want the most modern, connected trolley on the market, with a bigger and clearer display, more accurate distances, and deeper game tracking than the outgoing CT8.
That is what sets this trolley apart from the CT8 and from almost every other electric trolley in the price bracket.
This buying guide is aimed at avid golfers who are ready to invest in a proper flagship trolley and who want to understand exactly which version of the Powakaddy CT10 range fits their golf.
We will walk through each model, compare them side by side, explain the differences between the battery and EBS, show how the Powakaddy CT10 stacks up against the CT8, and finish with a clear decision tree so you can make a confident pick.
Our PGA Team’s Take on the Powakaddy CT10: The big story with the CT10 is the new portrait Hole View screen. Instead of a small landscape strip, you now see the whole hole laid out in front of you, top to bottom, with the green, bunkers and hazards in proper detail.
Combine that with Drop Flag Technology for precise flag distances, Advanced Active Green View, and the Active Hazard View, and you have a trolley that genuinely helps you plot your way round the course.
The point lands cleanly. On the Powakaddy CT10, you do not choose or pay extra for GPS. It is built in, pre-loaded with 40,000+ courses, and ready to use the moment you switch it on. There are no annual fees and no subscriptions.
What Every Powakaddy CT10 Has in Common

Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole Lithium

Design Philosophy
The Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole Lithium is the entry point into the CT10 range. It is the trolley for the standard 18-hole round, powered by a compact 18-hole Plug and Play lithium battery.
Do not let the word “entry” mislead you. This is still a full-fat flagship with the new 3.5-inch portrait touchscreen, Full Hole View GPS, and a Simple-2-Fold chassis.
If you play eighteen holes and rarely do more in a single day, this is the version many golfers will choose.
The 18-hole battery is noticeably lighter than the 36-hole pack, which keeps the total trolley weight down and makes lifting the folded unit in and out of the boot even easier.
Key Features at a Glance
- 3.5-inch portrait colour touchscreen with Full Hole View and 128MHz processor
- Integrated GPS with 40,000+ courses pre-loaded, no subscription
- 18-hole lithium battery with Plug and Play fitment
- Advanced Active Green View and Directional Approach Arrow
- Drop Flag Technology for precise flag distances
- Powakaddy App for iOS and Android with game tracking
- Scorecard feature with stroke index and par for men and ladies
- ADF Automatic Distance Function (5 to 50 yards)
- USB-C handle charging port
- Simple-2-Fold ultra compact frame
Specifications
- Price: £979
- Trolley Weight: 9.9kg (without battery)
- Battery: 18 Hole 30V Plug and Play Lithium
- Folded Size: H 510mm x W 425mm x D 375mm
- Motor: 30V 230W
- Screen: 3.5-inch portrait colour touchscreen

Strengths

- Simple-2-Fold is genuinely boot-friendly
- Powakaddy App lets you update courses and track your game
- Powakaddy reliability with up to a 5-year battery warranty
Considerations
- No EBS, so the trolley will not self-brake on steep downhills
- 18-hole battery only, so longer days need a second battery or a swap
- Premium price point versus the older CT8 range
Who Should Buy the Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18-Hole?
- The golfer who plays eighteen holes on flat to gently rolling courses
- Anyone who wants the newest flagship trolley but does not need downhill braking
- Golfers moving up from an older Powakaddy compact and wanting the bigger portrait screen and Full Hole View GPS
- Drivers with smaller boots who need the most compact folded size available
Flagship Features, Smart Starting Price
The Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole is the most accessible way to get into the CT10 range and still comes loaded with every headline feature.
£979
Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 18 Hole Lithium

Design Philosophy
The Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 18 Hole Lithium adds the EBS Automatic Electronic Braking System to the 18-hole flagship.
If your home course has proper hills, or if you have ever had a trolley career away from you on a steep slope, EBS is the feature you want.
EBS is not a handbrake you pull on. It is a self-sensing system that detects steep inclines automatically and gently slows the trolley to keep it at the desired walking speed.
You do not have to do anything. The Powakaddy CT10 feels planted and predictable, even on the sort of slopes that used to have you jogging after it.
Key Features at a Glance
- Everything in the Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole, plus the full EBS system
- Self-sensing EBS Automatic Electronic Braking System for steep inclines
- 18-hole lithium battery with Plug and Play fitment
- Integrated GPS with 40,000+ courses and Drop Flag Technology
- 3.5-inch portrait colour touchscreen with Full Hole View

Strengths

- Peace of mind on hilly parkland courses
- All CT10 flagship features retained
- Lighter 18-hole battery for easy lifting
- Only £20 more than the standard 18-hole CT10
Considerations
- An 18-hole battery only, which may limit longer days
- EBS is unnecessary on flat courses, so the premium may not pay back
- The 36-hole EBS model is only £30 more for far more capacity
Who Should Buy the Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 18 Hole?
- Golfers playing hilly courses who do not need an extended battery range
- Anyone who has ever chased a runaway trolley down a slope
- Members at courses with steep cart paths or undulating fairways
- Golfers who want the safety feature without paying for 36-hole capacity
Flagship Tech with Hill Control
Add EBS for just £20 and stop chasing your Powakaddy CT10 down the slopes.
£999
Powakaddy CT10 GPS 36 Hole Lithium

Design Philosophy
The Powakaddy CT10 GPS 36 Hole Lithium is the same flagship trolley, fitted with a bigger, extended-range battery.
If you regularly play thirty-six holes in a day, if you hate the thought of a battery dying on the 16th, or if you want peace of mind in cold weather, this is the model to consider.
The 36-hole extended battery gives you close to double the runtime for only a modest weight penalty over the 18-hole unit. It is still a Plug and Play battery, so fitment is as simple as dropping it into place.
One thing to keep in mind: at £1029, this standard 36 Hole is the same price as the CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole, so unless you specifically do not want braking, the EBS 36 is the smarter buy.
Key Features at a Glance
- Same 3.5-inch portrait touchscreen and Full Hole View GPS as the 18-hole model
- 36-hole extended lithium battery for longer days
- Extended range for two rounds, cold weather, or society days
- Advanced Active Green View, Drop Flag Technology, Powakaddy App
- ADF, Scorecard, USB-C, Simple-2-Fold
- Premium metallic frame with gunmetal trims
Specifications
- Price: £1029
- Trolley Weight: 9.9kg (without battery)
- Battery: 36 Hole 30V Plug and Play Lithium
- Folded Size: H 510mm x W 425mm x D 375mm
- Motor: 30V 230W
- Screen: 3.5-inch portrait colour touchscreen
- EBS: Not fitted (see EBS models)
Strengths
- Close to double the battery capacity for only a small weight increase
- Cold weather confidence when batteries deplete faster
- Do 36 holes or two rounds on a single charge
- Same flagship tech and warranty as the rest of the range
Considerations
- Heavier battery to lift in and out of the boot
- Overkill for 9-hole players or anyone who rarely plays 36
- No EBS, yet priced the same as the EBS 36 Hole model
Who Should Buy the Powakaddy CT10 GPS 36 Hole?
- Members who often play 36 holes in a day or back-to-back rounds and do not want EBS
- Winter golfers who want extra capacity when the cold drains the battery faster
- Golf society regulars who do not want to worry about charging between rounds
- Anyone who wants the safety net of extra capacity on flat courses
Extended Range for Big Golf Days
The 36-hole battery is the smart upgrade for winter golfers and 36-hole days on flatter courses.
£1029
Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole Lithium

Design Philosophy
The Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole Lithium is the top of the range and, quietly, the best-value model in it.

This is the trolley for the golfer who wants everything sorted once and for all. Because it costs the same £1029 as the non-EBS 36 Hole, you get the braking system effectively for free.

Powakaddy CT10 vs CT8: What is New?
The Powakaddy CT10 replaces the CT8 at the top of the compact range. Both share the same core platform, so if you loved the CT8, you will feel right at home.
The question is whether the CT10’s upgrades are worth it. Here is how they compare.
Our PGA Team’s Take: The CT8 and CT10 share the same MAG-LOK bag lock, the same lightweight Simple-2-Fold frame, and the same near-silent 30V motor. That base platform is superb, and it carries straight over.
Where the Powakaddy CT10 pulls ahead is the screen and the GPS. The new portrait Hole View display shows you far more of the hole at once, the processor is quicker, and the added targeting features like Active Hazard View and the Directional Attack Feature give you more to work with on every shot.
| Feature | CT8 | CT10 |
|---|---|---|
| Touchscreen | 3.5-inch landscape TFT | 3.5-inch portrait TFT, 50% more viewing area |
| Processor | Standard | 128MHz fast-refresh |
| Hole View | Green and hole graphics | Full Hole View, whole hole on screen |
| Green & Hazard View | Active Green View | Advanced Active Green View + Active Hazard View |
| Flag Distance | Drop Pin | Drop Flag Technology + Directional Attack Feature |
| Game Tracking | Basic round logging | Fairways hit, GIR and putts |
| Screen Protection | Standard glass | Tempered glass anti-fingerprint protector |
| Simple-2-Fold chassis | Yes | Yes |
| EBS Braking | Optional | Optional |
| Starting Price | From £939 | From £979 |
In simple terms, the CT8 was, and remains, a superb trolley.
The Powakaddy CT10 is the more modern, more connected flagship, with a bigger portrait screen, a faster processor, and richer GPS and game-tracking features for around £40 more at the starting price.
If you want the newest and best display and the most detailed on-course information, the Powakaddy CT10 is the one. If you can still find a CT8 and want to save a little, it is a very capable alternative.

Buying Guide and Decision Tree
Use this short decision tree to narrow down which Powakaddy CT10 is right for you.
Priority 1: Do you play 36 holes in a day, or a lot of winter golf?
Cold weather drains lithium batteries faster, and society or event days often include 27 or 36 holes. Because both 36-hole CT10 models cost the same £1029, the extended battery is easy to justify.
- YES → Choose a 36 Hole model (continue to Priority 2)
- NO → An 18 Hole CT10 will do (skip to Priority 3)
Priority 2: On the 36-hole models, do you want downhill braking?
Since the standard 36 Hole and the EBS 36 Hole are both £1029, there is very little reason to skip EBS unless your course is completely flat and you dislike braking systems.
- YES, or not fussed → Choose the CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole (£1029)
- NO, I never want EBS → Choose the CT10 GPS 36 Hole (£1029)
Priority 3: On the 18-hole models, do you play hilly courses?
If you are happy with 18-hole capacity, the only decision left is whether your course has hills that make EBS worthwhile.
- YES, hilly course → Choose the CT10 GPS EBS 18 Hole (£999)
- NO, flat course → Choose the CT10 GPS 18 Hole (£979)

Powakaddy CT10 Technology Explained
Here is what each of the headline Powakaddy CT10 features actually does in plain English, so you know exactly what you are paying for.
Simple-2-Fold Chassis
Two quick folding motions collapse the trolley into a compact rectangle roughly the size of a small carry-on bag. The folded footprint is H 510mm x W 425mm x D 375mm. If you drive a hatchback or an SUV with a dog in the back, this is the feature that will make you smile every week.
3.5 Inch Portrait Touchscreen with Full Hole View
The Powakaddy CT10’s headline upgrade is the new portrait screen. Turning the display upright lets you see the whole hole from tee to green at once, with 50% more viewing area than a similar widescreen. A 128MHz processor keeps everything fast and responsive, and it works with a golf glove on.
Integrated GPS with Advanced Active Green View
Every Powakaddy CT10 comes pre-loaded with over 40,000 courses worldwide, accurate to within 5 yards. It auto-detects your course and advances hole to hole. Advanced Active Green View updates the green shape and surrounding hazards automatically, and the Directional Approach Arrow shows the line in. There are no fees and no subscriptions.
Drop Flag Technology and Directional Attack Feature
Standard GPS gives you the distance to the centre of the green. Drop Flag Technology lets you tap the green map where the flag actually is and recalculates the yardage to that exact point. The Directional Attack Feature helps you find the target even when you cannot see it, which is brilliant on blind approaches.
Powakaddy App and Game Tracking
Pair the Powakaddy CT10 with your phone via Bluetooth and the Powakaddy App (iOS and Android). Use it to update courses, receive software update notifications, and track your rounds with fairways hit, greens in regulation and putts. Once set up, it happens quietly in the background when you are in range of the trolley.
EBS Automatic Electronic Braking System
EBS is self-sensing. The trolley detects when you are going down an incline and automatically applies gentle braking to maintain a controlled walking speed. You do not have to press or hold anything. On a steep hill, an EBS-equipped Powakaddy CT10 rolls down at walking pace instead of taking off. It is one of those features you do not miss until you have tried it.
MAG-LOK Bag Attachment
The bag attachment uses an ultra-strong Neodymium magnet to snap the bag into place, paired with the Key-Lock system that stops the bag twisting. No straps to faff with, no twisting clips. Click it on, click it off, and it will not shift around even on rough ground.
ADF Automatic Distance Function
Set a distance between five and fifty yards, let go of the handle, and the trolley walks itself forward that exact distance before stopping. Perfect for sending the Powakaddy CT10 up to the next tee while you mark your card.
Lithium Plug and Play Battery
The lithium pack drops into the chassis with no tools and connects automatically. Powakaddy’s re-engineered Plug and Play batteries are among the lightest and most powerful on the market, and come in 18-hole and 36-hole capacities. Both are covered by up to a 5-year warranty if you register your battery with Powakaddy after purchase. We strongly recommend doing this.
Value Insight: Assuming two rounds a week and an average trolley life of 7 years, the Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole works out at roughly £1.34 per round. Spread the flagship CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole over the same usage, and you land at around £1.41 per round.
Both figures exclude the ancillary value of a built-in GPS that you might otherwise pay £200+ for as a separate device.
Looked at that way, the cost per round of owning a proper flagship electric trolley is smaller than you might think.
Powakaddy CT10 FAQ
Is the Powakaddy CT10 worth the extra money over the CT8?
If you want the newest screen and richest GPS, yes.
The Powakaddy CT10 upgrades you to a new 3.5-inch portrait touchscreen with Full Hole View and 50% more viewing area, a faster 128MHz processor, Advanced Active Green View, Active Hazard View, Drop Flag Technology and expanded game tracking. If those are high on your wish list, the CT10 is worth the jump from the CT8. If you only care about propulsion and a simple GPS, a CT8 will still serve you well for less.
Do I need the 36-hole battery?
Only if you play more than 18 holes in a day, or play a lot of winter golf.
The 18-hole battery is plenty for a typical round on a regular course. Cold weather reduces battery capacity, so if you are a winter warrior or society player, the 36-hole pack is worth it. Note that on the CT10, both 36-hole models are the same price, so stepping up to the extended battery does not cost more than the EBS version.
What is EBS, and do I need it?
EBS is an automatic downhill braking system.
It senses steeper inclines and slows the Powakaddy CT10 to a controlled walking pace without you having to do anything. If your course has noticeable hills or steep cart paths, it is a worthwhile upgrade. On a properly flat course you can probably live without it, though on the 36-hole models it is included at no extra cost.
Can I use the Powakaddy CT10 without the GPS features?
Yes, absolutely.
If you already use a rangefinder or a GPS watch you love, you can switch to a simple speed display and use the CT10 as an electric trolley. There is no obligation to use the GPS, but most golfers find they do once it is there. Remember that GPS course updates have no annual fee or subscription.
How long does the battery last, and is it covered by warranty?
The trolley has a 2-year warranty, and the lithium battery is covered by up to 5 years if you register it with Powakaddy.
Please register your battery as soon as you receive it. It takes less than five minutes online and significantly enhances your peace of mind. Most lithium packs will last many hundreds of rounds before any noticeable degradation.
Is the Powakaddy CT10 suitable for tall or short golfers?
Yes. The soft-touch handle is fully height-adjustable.
Whether you are 5 feet 2 or 6 feet 4, you can set the handle at a comfortable walking height. The ergonomic, ambidextrous design keeps your wrist neutral and the controls within reach of your thumb, so you can tap buttons without looking down.
Will my existing bag fit?
Most modern cart bags will fit the Powakaddy CT10 without issue.
The MAG-LOK system works with standard cart bag bases. Powakaddy’s own cart bags are optimised for the MAG-LOK connection for the most secure fit, but any well-designed cart bag will sit happily on the CT10 with the bottom strap and upper bag restraint.

Final Verdict on the Powakaddy CT10 Range
Powakaddy CT10 GPS 18 Hole Lithium (£979)
The smart starting point. Flagship features, the smallest folded footprint in the CT range, integrated Full Hole View GPS and the new 3.5-inch portrait touchscreen.
The right Powakaddy CT10 for most weekend eighteen-hole golfers on gentle courses.
Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 18 Hole Lithium (£999)
The hilly course specialist. All the flagship tech plus the self-sensing EBS braking system, with a lighter 18-hole battery.
The best pick for golfers on undulating parkland who rarely play more than eighteen in a day.
Powakaddy CT10 GPS 36 Hole Lithium (£1029)
The extended-range option for golfers who want a bigger battery but specifically do not want EBS. Priced the same as the EBS 36, so most buyers will prefer the EBS version.
Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole Lithium (£1029)
The no-compromises flagship and our best-selling CT10. Every feature Powakaddy build into a CT10 trolley, paired with the biggest battery and downhill braking at no extra cost.
The buy-once, never-upgrade option.
The Bottom Line
The Powakaddy CT10 range is the best compact electric trolley lineup Powakaddy has made. The new portrait Full Hole View screen and the integrated, subscription-free GPS are reason enough to consider stepping up from the CT8 or a competitor trolley.
Add Drop Flag Technology, the Powakaddy App, expanded game tracking and the Simple-2-Fold chassis, and you have a trolley that genuinely changes how you experience a round of golf.
For most golfers, the sweet spot in the range is the Powakaddy CT10 GPS EBS 36 Hole, which bundles every feature and downhill braking at the same price as the standard 36 Hole.
If you play flatter courses and want to spend less, the CT10 GPS 18 Hole delivers the same flagship experience for £979.
All equipment sold at The Golf Shop Online conforms fully to the specifications set out by The R&A, the governing body for golf outside the United States and Mexico.
That includes every Powakaddy trolley and battery in our range.
