If you want the newest screen and richest GPS, yes.

If those are high on your wish list, the CT10 is worth the jump from the CT8. If you only care about propulsion and a simple GPS, a CT8 will still serve you well for less.
Do I need the 36-hole battery?
Only if you play more than 18 holes in a day, or play a lot of winter golf.
The 18-hole battery is plenty for a typical round on a regular course. Cold weather reduces battery capacity, so if you are a winter warrior or society player, the 36-hole pack is worth it. Note that on the CT10, both 36-hole models are the same price, so stepping up to the extended battery does not cost more than the EBS version.
What is EBS, and do I need it?
EBS is an automatic downhill braking system.
It senses steeper inclines and slows the Powakaddy CT10 to a controlled walking pace without you having to do anything. If your course has noticeable hills or steep cart paths, it is a worthwhile upgrade. On a properly flat course you can probably live without it, though on the 36-hole models it is included at no extra cost.
Can I use the Powakaddy CT10 without the GPS features?
