How to Care for your Garmin and Common Questions asked.

We pride ourselves on our Garmin Customer Care, because we want to give you the best service possible. Thats why it is important to us, we can answer your questions. In this blog I will be writing about how you can care for your Garmin GPS Device and answering some common questions we get asked in the office, when operating your latest device. So we can help you get the full benefit and maximise the use of it.

Like most technology, it can be a bit of a minefield when it comes to operating it, and at times become very frustrating, when we know a product we have bought, can do so many exciting things, but we are just not getting those results.

The Garmin Golf GPS devices are fantastic accessories to now have, and they have become increasingly popular on the golf course, but like most things they can come with there faults or issues, which can generally always be solved, we just need the know how.

How to care for your Garmin Golf GPS Device.

A few simple and easy tips for you, to care for your Garmin.

  • Keeping the Screen Clean and Clear – This is important for your device, as you need to be able to see the screen clearly, as this displays the information for you. I would recommend after each use on the golf course, giving the screen a wipe over with a damp cloth, to remove any bits of dirt, that may have attached itself to the screen, while you were playing, then wipe it over with a dry cloth. Sunglasses cloths are ideal for this.
  • Store your device somewhere safe and away from anywhere that could damage it. Like any watch or piece of technology you love and care for, its only wise to store your Garmin Golf GPS Device somewhere that is safe and away from danger of being damaged. I would not recommend storing this in your golf bag unless you have a soft and secure valuable pouch. Other than that keep it at home in a safe dry place just like you would with any other piece of valuable technology for complete Customer Care.
  • Do not over charge your device – It is important for you to have your device fully charged so it can keep you going out on the golf course, and on GPS Mode Garmin gives you up to 15 hours on its devices. However don’t get into the habit of over charing your device when it does not really need it. Over time this will reduce the battery life of your device and leave you short of power when you come to use. (Garmin provide a user manual with all there devices so make sure you read up on the information before using)
