Winner – Ben Sayers XF Pro

Ben Sayers Golf Chipper

The Ben Sayers XF chipper is one of our biggest selling chippers, and is without doubt one of the best value chippers on the market, it came out on top due to its good looks, decent alignment and around good feel. These generally sell at around £30.00 and are available in left and right-handed versions.

One of the really popular features of this chipper is that it does not have a hosel, so for those golfers prone to the odd shank, this club will give you a lot of confidence.

The club has 32 degrees of loft and comes complete with a headcover. For those thinking of trying a chipper, this is certainly worth a try.

Odyssey Golf Chipper

The Odyssey X-Act chipper has been around for a while and has been a solid performer for many years. It is also available left and right-handed but has a lady’s model. It is 35.5 inches long, and the two black lines and the single white line provide a clear sense of where you want to go with it; it came out on top regarding alignment.

It has a nice, heavy feel to the club and the usual quality feel you would expect from Odyssey.

The club has a really nice Super Stroke grip, but the only downside is that it does not come with a headcover.

Best for Looks Golf Chipper

The Ping ChipR is one of the biggest-selling chippers ever made. The Golf Shop Online has sold over 1,000 Ping ChipRs, and it was a surprise package when it was released.

This club oozes quality. It has a fantastic look and feel. Its compact size and cambered sole make it really easy to use. If you are looking for a quality chipper, this is really the best available.

It has 38.50 degrees of loft and a standard length of 35 inches. Ping recently released a ladies’ version, and it is also available in left-hand.

Like the Odyssey X-Act, it does not come with a headcover, but that is not really an issue, as it is made with investment cast 431 stainless steel.

Best for Feel Golf Chipper

The Cleveland Smartsole Chipper was probably one of the first top-end chippers on the market. It has Ulti Zip grooves, and we felt it had the best feel from the face. This could be because this club was very forgiving of mis-hits and consistent in its results.

It is 35 inches in length and has a slightly higher loft than most, with 42 degrees, and we were really impressed by this club.

Best for Versatility Golf Chipper

Winner – Longridge 2 Way Chipper

Longridge 2 way golf chipper

This may not be the chipper for all players, but it is certainly the most versatile as it is double-sided and can be used for both left-handed and right-handed shots. It’s exceptional for value at under £30 and is another chipper that should be seriously considered if you want to try this style of play.

It has 35 degrees of loft (on both sides), a nickel finish, and is a great choice for those on a budget.

Best Overall Golf Chipper

Winner – Ping ChipR

Although all the chippers on the list have their merits, the Ping Chip R Chipper really does shine. If you are serious about your game, this club is one you should seriously consider.
