Callaway Big Bertha Fusion Driver Review
Big Bertha Fusion is Here, A Material Game Changer.
Callaway Golf and club technology has come a very long way, even in the last decade the driver has evolved into a club where we are all looking for forgiveness to reign in the big beast off the tee. If you are looking for that next level, in a super forgiving driver, then the Callaway Big Bertha Fusion has just that. Maximum Forgiveness meets fusion technology. The Big Bertha Fusion has been born from a material change, giving you forgiveness and distance combined. Led by Callaway’s revolutionary Titanium Exo-Cage and an ultralight triaxial carbon crown, which has created, a new and innovative head shape with industry leading aerodynamics.
Key Features & Benefits
To create a super forgiving driver, you need to increase the MOI, this means keeping the weight low and pushing it towards the back of the club. Traditionally clubs made from an all metal head, will keep the weight high up in the club head. So reducing this is key and in the Big Bertha Fusion, that is exactly what Callaway have managed to achieve.
Maximum Forgiveness, Fusion Technology.
- Aerospace grade titanium Exo-Cage, paired with a Carbon Crown and sole allows the weight to be positioned as far back from the club face, resulting in a higher level of forgiveness.
Speed & Forgiveness from a new and Innovative Head Shape.
- The triaxial Carbon Crown and Exo-Cage has given Callaway the freedom to design and create an appealing new head shape, designed with aerodynamic experts to create a high MOI, this has also lead to the ability, in fine tuning the acoustics for a very satisfying sound and feel.
Increased Head Speed from Industry Leading Aerodynamics.
- A new look streamlined head shape has been created with the expert help from leading aerodynamic specialists, allowing the club head to move through the air much faster.
Shaft Options
The Callaway Big Bertha Fusion Driver, gives you a choice of shafts, as stock the club will be fitted with a UST Recoil 45-55g shaft or a Diamana Red 63g in either 45.5 inches or 44.5 inches long. The latter, shorter option has been offered, as research suggests, most driver shafts are too long for the average golfer and by having a shorter driver shaft this helps in making the club even more forgiving and easier to control.
