How Not To Be The Slow Player
Most of us aren’t professional golfers, and it’s a hard pill to swallow. Sometimes that means we play slow, and we’re the people everyone is complaining about. When we’re out playing with friends though, there’s no reason to be that group. There are a million ways around being the slow group and here are a few.
The first is to figure out what tee you should really be at. We all want to be on the championship tee, but how often do you see guys teeing off from there and slowing their game down considerably? Be realistic. The point of the game is to have fun with your friends and improve your game and you’re not going to do that by teeing off beyond your ability.
Bend the rules! Shift your ball a bit so it sits better, don’t look for your ball for five minutes- look for two, and pick up a hole if you’re ten strokes in already! If you’re playing with your friends do little things to make the game go more smoothly. It will be more fun for you and help insure that the people behind you don’t start shouting passive-aggressive comments. And let them play through. If someone is catching up to you, let them go through, it will put less stress on everyone. Then check out this article below with more details-
