McIlroy Aims For Career Grand Slam
As a personal tradition, McIlroy noted down his seven goals on the back of his first class airline ticket for the new season, the main one? Completing his Career Grand Slam. The World number one says his ambition for the first part of the golfing year is to maintain an aura that he so brilliantly built in 2014.
He will go to Augusta in April to try to become the sixth man to complete a career grand slam of all four current majors along side Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods.
But McIlroy’s objectives for the year surround personal processes that allow him to play his best golf. He also wants to remain the game’s most feared name on the leader boards. “It’s always a good sign when other players are talking about you,” he told BBC Sport. He also says that he feels the way to continue keeping up with his performances is simply to just keep producing them consistently.
