Getting Golf Better

By on November 12, 2019

People are talking about ways to make golf better all the time nowadays, but some say that the way to “fix” the sport is as simple as nipping annoying behaviors in the bud. They say it’s those little things that annoy pretty much everybody that will save time and aggravation on the links.

Taking too many practice swings, for example. There’s not reason for it. After about three you should be able to get in with the swing of things- anything more and we all know you’re about to slam that ball into the rough.

Shouting “get in the hole” like you’re Happy Gilmore or any other way, way overused golf movie reference should be banned. No one really likes it. It’s old news and shows poor sportsmanship overall.

Penalties for phone use while not in the cart- we can call it delay of game- should definitely be considered. Nothing is worse then playing a round with someone more interested with what’s on their screen than what’s in front of them.
