Are Certain Tournaments For The Hype?
Ernie Els once admitted that there are certain tournaments where pro-golfers are invited to play, knowing that they are going to take home a hefty prize. The flip side of that bargain, is that the audience and fans get to see their favourite players win, which amps them up for the following tournaments. Admittedly, Jordan Spieth, who triumphed at Orlando’s Isleworth club, and Danny Willett, who dominated in South Africa, are both richer than they were a week ago due to these types of tournaments.
