Annoying Antics- Things To Avoid When Golfing
We’ve all had to put up with some annoying habits of other players, but if we’re honest with ourselves, we all have some bad golf habits. In fact, golfstinks.com put out a list of the top ten annoying golf habits, and they are spot on the things you should avoid.
Bragging, for example. By nature many of us who play golf are competitive, but the bragging has got to stop. How many people have you played with say they normally shoot 80, so today’s 102 is so out of place. Yeah. Right. These people often do another annoying habit- make excuses. The guy who says he shoots 80, then shoots 102, also says he slept wrong or his shoulder hurts or he felt a sneeze coming on. Yeah. Right. These are same people who give your swing advice. Don’t give advice if you’re not a pro. That’s that.
Then there are some little annoyances, less prideful and more time eating. For example, having a preshot ritual. If you’re going to hit, do it, don’t spend five minutes shifting your weight. Don’t burn incense and do a dance. Get ready in a timely manner and take your darn shot. Check out the rest, and what you may be doing wrong, here-
