Programming Your Fitness
Most of us can’t play anymore this season as the temperatures are already getting to that point where courses close and going out is asking for sickness. So what can we do during the off season? Well, we can stay in condition- we can work out! We’ve talked about this before, but this time we’ll discuss another aspect- creating your own golf fitness program.
First you have to identify the most important physical aspects of the game. Flexibility, posture, stability, and power are the things we need to focus on to improve our game. When planning out how you’re going to work out you need to consider which area of the game you need the most work on.
Remember the first thing to do when getting ready to work start up your routine is to stretch and get yourself limber. This helps you avoid injuries and gives you better gains. Afterword, some cardio is absolutely needed. This gets the body pumped up and ready and again, increases gains. Also, many cardio work outs improve those things you need to.
