The Go-To Workout For A Golfer
The winter months are coming up, and that means most of us aren’t going out to the course- even in warmer climates many courses close for the winter in order to redo parts of the course or just for maintenance. So how do you keep in good condition to play? Well, you need to hit the gym, but what exercises should a golf player focus on?
You will get a million opinions on which exercises you should do, but keep in mind the key physical factors of golf- strength, stability, mobility, and posture. There are exercises that promote these traits much better then others, and most of them are the natural movements of your body. What does this mean? Exercises like squats and lunges as well as push and pull motions are integral. Most important though is that you keep it up. In the downtime of the winter you’re body can lose a lot of what you developed during the warmer seasons.
