Players That Put You Off
As in regular life, golf has it’s share of stereotypical players, and while they are stereotypes, we’ve all seen or played with these people- much to our chagrin.
Most remember Rodney Dangerfield’s character in Caddyshack- the rich guy with all the latest, fanciest golf toys, but they never seem to be able to play. This is golfer number one you don’t want to play with. They can talk your ear off about how this does that and that does this and in the end, it’s that, a whole lot of talk.
Next is the better. This is the guy who wants to bet on every. Little. Thing. A little betting here and there can keep a match interesting, but when it get to the point where you’re getting bet that the better can hit a drive further left-handed for fifty bucks, you know you’re in for a painful 18.
There’s one kind of person no one likes to play with no matter what. They’re the same kind of person who most people typically don’t like being around- the downer. This is the guy who can hit a great drive and say it’s nothing compared to whatever pro golfer is big at the time. Typically they are incapable of fun.
