The grooves have also been redesigned and cut right to the edge to maximise spin, whilst the impact zone has received a localised heat treatment to reportedly double the durability of the grooves. This will be a great addition for the SM9 wedges as durability can be a worry for many, particularly on high spin wedges that have been known to experience sharp declines in performance from constant wear.
