The Advanced Driver Guide
There are a lot of things to keep in mind when shopping around for a new driver, some of which don’t spring to mind right away. If you’re looking for more than the basics, we have some of the more advanced factors you should be looking for when you go driver buying.
The first is, when testing, you should get some impact tape or powder. Chances are, if your in the market for a new driver, you feel like you could improve some. Well, impact tape will tell you if you need to go longer or shorter with your club. If you want distance, you need to hit that sweet spot.
Understand what that adjustable weight really does. Changing the position of the weights is designed to straighten your swing, but it’s really a last resort. If you change the weight, you change the center of gravity, which increases spin and decreases loft.
