Srixon ZXi RKT Driver: The Ultimate Guide to All 3 Models
Srixon ZXi RKT DriverTop Pick · £569 →
All 3 feature the RKT Face, carbon crown, ACOUSTICORE sound tuning and a 12-position adjustable hosel. Tip: scroll the table sideways on mobile to see all columns.
Introduction
Srixon has been quietly building one of the strongest driver lines in golf, and the Srixon ZXi RKT driver (pronounced “Rocket”) range is its most ambitious yet. The range includes three heads: the standard Srixon ZXi RKT driver, the low-spin ZXi RKT LS, and the high-forgiveness ZXi RKT Max. All three cost £569.
Choosing between three drivers with the same name and price can be confusing, so this guide explains what is different, who each model suits, and which stock shaft comes in each head. Our PGA professional, Mark Crossfield, has already tested the full range, and his views appear throughout.
If you are still deciding between brands, our guide to the best golf drivers of 2026 covers the wider market. You can also browse every model in our golf drivers range.
What to look for
Before you pick a head, answer three questions about your own game. They map directly onto the three models.
How much do you spin it?
If your drives balloon and fall out of the sky, too much spin is costing you distance. That is the LS’s job. If your ball flight is already low, you need launch, not less spin.
What does your miss look like?
A slice that starts left and curves right suits the Max, with its draw bias and highest MOI. A two-way miss suits the standard head, where the heel and toe weights can be tuned.
How fast do you swing?
Slower swings usually benefit from a lighter shaft and more loft. The Max comes with a 50g shaft and a 12° option, while the LS has an 8° option and a heavier, low launch shaft.
Quick navigation

★★★★★
Best all-rounder: Srixon ZXi RKT Driver
The core model: fast, forgiving and adjustable. Heel and toe sole weights let you add up to 15 yards of draw or fade bias, and the head is shorter front to back with a deeper face than the Max.
Up to 15 yards bias
Mid-high launch
D3.5 swing weight
The standard Srixon ZXi RKT driver is the head most golfers should try first. It balances ball speed, forgiveness, and the ability to shape shots, with mid-to-high launch and relatively low spin. That combination fits the widest range of swings, from mid-handicappers to strong single-figure players.
Its standout feature is the heel and toe weighting. It ships with 10g in the heel and 4g in the toe. Swap them, and you move the centre of gravity across the face, which Srixon says can shift your shot shape by up to 15 yards. If you fight a fade one season and a hook the next, this head can follow you.
“Most of you are going to really dial into the standard. I think that’s going to be the most popular.”
Mark Crossfield, PGA Professional
- Widest fitting window of the three
- Draw or fade bias you can change yourself
- Mid Kai’li Blue shaft suits most swing speeds
- Not as forgiving as the Max on big mishits
- Faster swingers may still want the LS for lower spin

★★★★★
Best low spin: Srixon ZXi RKT Driver LS
Built for faster, aggressive swings. Front and rear sole weights move the centre of gravity forward or back, and putting the heavy weight forward cuts spin by up to 350 RPM for a more piercing flight.
Up to 350 RPM less spin
8° option
D4 swing weight
The LS is for golfers who already make good speed but lose distance to spin. It has a more pear-shaped address profile and a deeper face, which better players often prefer for confidence and workability. The stock Kai’li White shaft is rated low launch and low spin, which adds to the head’s effect.
Weighting runs front to back rather than heel to toe. With 10g forward and 4g at the rear, the LS is at its lowest spin. Swap them, and the centre of gravity moves back, adding launch and stability on days when you need more help. An 8° loft is available for right-handers.
“This one I’ve been testing has been coming out so good for a low spin driver. Not too low spin, which I love. More stable…”
Mark Crossfield, PGA Professional
That last point matters. Many low spin drivers punish strikes away from the centre with a sudden drop in spin, so the ball falls out of the air. Mark found the LS held its spin far more consistently than he expected.
- Lowest spin of the three, with a penetrating flight
- Front-to-back weights let you add launch back in
- Pear shape and deeper face suit better players
- Needs good speed to get the most from it
- Least forgiving of the three on off-centre strikes

★★★★☆
Most forgiving: Srixon ZXi RKT Driver Max
Srixon’s highest MOI driver to date. A longer front-to-back head, a single 14g weight low and at the back, and a subtle draw bias make it the most stable and confidence-inspiring of the three.
Single 14g rear weight
12° option
Lighter 50g shaft
The Max is aimed at golfers who want the most help. The head is stretched further back, which places mass low and deep for higher launch and tighter dispersion on mishits. A subtle draw bias helps reduce the right-side miss that costs so many club golfers shots.
It also comes with the lightest stock shaft in the range, the 50g Kai’li Red CB, rated mid-high launch and mid spin, plus a 12° loft option. The single rear weight adjusts swing weight rather than shot shape, so you can make the head feel heavier or lighter without losing forgiveness.
For women golfers: Srixon also makes a ZXi RKT MAX Women’s driver with a shorter 44.75″ shaft, a 12° head, a 40g Mitsubishi Bassara PL shaft and a lighter, softer grip. Call our team if you would like to order one.
- Most stable and forgiving head of the three
- Draw bias fights the slice
- Lightest shaft and most loft for slower swings
- Less shot shaping than the standard head
- Fast swingers may find it launches and spins too much
Key differences: RKT vs LS vs Max
Here is the short version. All three share the same face, crown, sound engineering and hosel. They differ in four ways: head shape, weight position, stock shaft and loft range.
| Srixon ZXi RKT Driver | Srixon ZXi RKT Driver LS | Srixon ZXi RKT Driver Max | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Head shape | Shorter front to back, deeper face | Pear-shaped, deeper face | Longest front to back |
| Sole weights | 10g heel, 4g toe | 10g front, 4g rear | Single 14g low and rear |
| What the weights do | Up to 15 yards of draw or fade bias | Up to 350 RPM spin change | Adjust swing weight |
| Flight bias | Neutral, adjustable | Neutral, low spin | Subtle draw |
| Stock shaft | Kai’li Blue 60 (X, S, R) | Kai’li White 60 (X, S, R) | Kai’li Red CB 50 (S, R, R2) |
| Lofts | 9°, 10.5° | 8° (RH), 9°, 10.5° (RH) | 9° (RH), 10.5°, 12° (RH) |
| Swing weight | D3.5 | D4 | D3 |
Specifications from Srixon. All heads are 460cc with a 45.75″ standard length and 59° lie. Tip: scroll the table sideways on mobile.
Weighting is the real difference
The easiest way to understand the range is to look at where the weights sit. Heel and toe weights on the standard head control left to right. Front and back weights on the LS control up and down: spin and launch. The single rear weight on the Max is there to maximise stability rather than to change the flight.
“Standard head has two weights, a heel and toe, where the Max head has that weight fixed more at the back. And then we have the LS… which has the front and back weight system to help move that spin and launch characteristic around.”
Mark Crossfield, PGA Professional
Shaft options explained
Each head comes with a different stock Mitsubishi Kai’li Dark Waves shaft, colour coded by weight and launch. Mark recorded a separate video on the shafts, and his advice is worth reading before you order.
Red CB 50 (Max)
Around 50g in S, R and R2 flex. Mid-high launch and mid spin. Designed for slower swings that need speed and help getting the ball in the air.
Blue 60 (standard RKT)
Around 64 to 68g in X, S and R flex. Mid launch and mid spin. The all-round option for golfers happy with a conventional off-the-shelf feel.
White 60 (LS)
Around 65 to 69g in X, S and R flex. Low launch and low spin. For faster swings that need to bring their spin numbers down.
“I’ve used [lighter shafts] in the past for lots of golfers. They do respond to lighter shafts… Spin isn’t just a bad word when it comes to drivers.”
Mark Crossfield, PGA Professional
That is the key point for slower swingers. A shaft that launches higher and spins a little more keeps the ball in the air longer, and that usually adds carry. Mark also notes that custom shafts are available if you have a model you already love.
“There’s a shaft for every head, every player and every combination, which is what’s so good in the current driver market.”
Mark Crossfield, PGA Professional
Technology explained
All three heads share the same core technology. Here is what each piece does in plain English.
RKT Face
A silicon-enhanced VR-Titanium face insert with variable thickness. A thinner, more flexible face means faster ball speed, including on shots struck away from the centre.
i-FLEX and Rebound Frame
A strengthened internal structure lets the face be thinner, while two alternating stiff and flexible zones in the frame help the whole head flex at impact for more speed.
Variable Roll Design
The face curvature changes from top to bottom so that shots struck high or low get more consistent launch and spin. Mark highlights this as a real gain on mishits.
ACOUSTICORE
AI-optimised ribs inside the head control vibration, giving a crisp, solid sound. Sound matters: a good sound gives you more confidence over the ball.
Carbon crown
A lightweight carbon fibre crown saves weight high in the head, which Srixon puts back low and in the sole weights for launch and stability.
12-position QTS hosel
Adjust loft, lie and face angle by up to 1.5° independently. Fine-tune launch and start direction without changing heads.

FAQ
What is the difference between the Srixon ZXi RKT Driver, LS and Max?
Head shape, weighting and stock shaft.
The standard Srixon ZXi RKT Driver has heel and toe weights for draw or fade bias. The LS has front and rear weights to cut spin and suits faster swings. The Max has one rear weight, the highest MOI and a draw bias for maximum forgiveness. All three share the RKT Face and cost £569.
Which Srixon ZXi RKT driver is most forgiving?
The ZXi RKT Max.
It is Srixon’s highest MOI driver to date, with a longer head and a 14g weight placed low and at the back. That keeps the face stable on mishits and launches the ball higher, which suits slicers, slower swingers and higher handicappers.
Is the ZXi RKT LS only for tour players?
No, but it does suit faster swings.
If you swing quickly and see high, ballooning drives, the LS can add distance by reducing spin by up to 350 RPM. Moving the heavy weight to the back adds launch and stability, so it is more versatile than many low-spin drivers. Slower swingers usually gain more from the standard or Max head.
Can I change the loft on the Srixon ZXi RKT drivers?
Yes, by up to 1.5 degrees either way.
All three heads use the 12-position QTS hosel, which adjusts loft, lie and face angle independently. That lets you fine tune launch and start direction after you buy, without changing heads.
Is there a left-handed Srixon ZXi RKT driver?
Yes, in selected lofts.
Srixon lists left-handed options at 10.5° for the standard RKT and Max, and at 9° for the LS. Some lofts, such as the 8° LS and 12° Max, are right-handed only. Call our team to confirm availability.
Is there a women’s version of the Srixon ZXi RKT driver?
Yes, the ZXi RKT MAX Women’s.
It uses the Max head in 12° with a shorter 44.75-inch Mitsubishi Bassara PL 40 shaft and a softer, lighter Golf Pride Fine Line grip. Contact our team, and we will help with ordering.

Final verdict
The Srixon ZXi RKT driver range is a strong, well-thought-out family. The RKT Face gives all three heads real speed, and the weighting systems make each one meaningfully different rather than a cosmetic variation.
For most golfers, the standard ZXi RKT is the one to start with: forgiving, adjustable and suited to the widest range of swings. Faster swingers fighting spin should go straight to the ZXi RKT LS, and anyone who slices or wants maximum help should choose the ZXi RKT Max.
