Are spikeless golf shoes more comfortable than spiked?
Usually, yes.
The most comfortable golf shoes tend to be spikeless. They are lighter and have a flatter, more natural underfoot feel, which most golfers find easier over eighteen holes. Spiked shoes give better grip on wet slopes and in soft ground. If your course is hilly and you play through winter, the extra traction may be worth the small comfort penalty.
How much should I spend on comfortable golf shoes?
Around £80 to £150 for most golfers.
Below £60, you are generally buying water resistance rather than waterproofing, which is fine for summer golf. Above £150 you are paying for Gore-Tex membranes, premium leathers and longer warranties, which pay for themselves if you play through a British winter.
Do golf shoes need breaking in?
