Your Guide to Buying Golf Shoes
One of the key points to be mindful of when looking at golf shoes is that golf involves a lot amount of walking, and you will be on your feet for up to five hours. If your shoes are not comfortable you may well get blisters and this could have an adverse effect on your game.
It is with this worth investing in a good quality pair of golf shoes as this will give you a good foundation to which you start your round and you should ensure that they fit correctly, not too large or too small. If the shoes are uncomfortable it will be hard to concentrate on your game.
Generally you should be purchasing the same size shoe that you would purchase for your street shoes however we find that adidas golf shoes come up about a half size smaler and the wide fit tends to fit the majority.
Ecco golf shoes and Footjoy golf shoes tend to have a neutral size and seem to have standard sizing however the footjoy golf shoes do come in different widths so this is something worth looking into.
The soles of your shoes will also have spikes to provide grip and stability as you walk and play and it is important to make sure that you do not collect too much grass in your spikes as this could cause slippage.
You may not see the need to spend a lot of maoney on a pair of golf shoes however comfort is key and generaly you do get what you pay for.
