Garmin Approach S3 Finding Your Golf Course
Here we’ll learn how to turn on your Approach S3’s sophisticated GPS golf features and start playing.
From the time-date face select menu. You’ll have to left swipe to unlock it. The features menu will appear. Select Start Round.
The Approach S3 will take a moment to acquire satellite signals and determine your location. A menu of nearby golf courses will appear. Your course will be at the top. Select that one or scroll through to see other nearby courses.
You are now on the hole view. The S3 shows the current hole you’re playing, par, plus yardage to the front, middle, and back of the green. It automatically transitions when you move to a new hole.
To change the location of the pin on any hole, select Menu, Green View, and move the pin by dragging your finger to the new location. Select Return. The distances in hole view automatically adjust to the new pin location.
Don’t forget to select End Round when you’re done to save your battery. It’s right above Green View.
