Why You’re Hitting “Over the Top”

Many golfers have a problem with hitting the ball “over the top” and there are two main reasons for it. The first is that the upper body “spins out”, which opens the shoulders early and forces your hands out away from the body. The second reason is because the shoulders stay closed, and the hands come down from the inside but the club head is swung well outside the hands. It’s less common, but just as destructive.
