Golf Umbrellas For Better Performance

The largest accessory of a golf game is probably a large golf umbrella. Golf umbrellas generally come in normal sizes of between 25 to 32 inches. Of course, the purpose of golf umbrellas is essentially the same as regular ones. The only distinguishable trait of a golf umbrella is its custom logo or symbol, which usually belongs to the golfing company that is offering it as part of its golf accessories. This is more of a marketing and advertising tactic used by golfing companies in order to promote their brand.

Like all regular umbrellas, golf umbrellas are meant to keep you dry on a rainy day or to keep you shielded from the hot scorching sun on a sunny day. These days, golf umbrellas are not just used during golf games, but are also used for all sorts of outdoor events. Surprisingly, they are also getting quite popular with luxurious setups like upscale clubs, luxury hotels and luxury villas and residential places. The materials used in manufacturing golf umbrellas are generally of high quality, making them more sophisticated.

The entire framework of a golf umbrella is made of full fiber composites. The stand in particular is made of tough fibers which gives it good weight and balance. This makes it difficult for the umbrella to be blown off by high intensity winds. The high-grade fiber fabrics of golf umbrellas generally compose of 190PG nylon cloth and 190 silver tapes.

This makes rain droplets roll off the sides of the umbrella without getting soaked in the fabric, therefore keeping you dry. The 190PG fabric is usually also referred to as a "Touch Brazzaville Juice" fabric, which has great texture and a soft feel. The hold or handle of the umbrella is usually made of a spongy material called EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate). This is basically a polymer which matches up to other materials that are elastomeric in nature. The handle is very comfortable to hold for long periods of time; however, it's only down side is that it feels like wet mold when wet. Aside from EVA, the handle of a golf umbrella can also be made of wood or plastic coupled with rubber materials.

Generally, there are four elements that are crucial to the appropriate usage of a golf umbrella. These are:

* The Grip (Single-Hand) – Requires a well practiced arm, hand and body motion.

* Balance – Requires some concentration and practice to maneuver the umbrella with regards to intensity and angle of the rain and wind.

* Span – Simply requires some girth assessment.

* The Size, Structure and Composition – Requires a simple understanding of the entire framework of the umbrella.

While you may not realize this, handling a golf umbrella requires some skills of its own. Once you master these skills, you'll no longer be at the mercy of weather forecasts to play golf successfully.
