What's in Manasseros Golf Bag
Titleist dominated the leaderboard of the Maybank Malaysian Open with all 42 golf clubs in the bags of winner Matteo Manassero, runner-up Gregory Bourdy and third-place finisher Rory McIlroy bearing the St Ives-based brand. And all three used Titleist Pro V1x golf balls.
Matteo Manassero became the first player to win twice on the European Tour before he'd reached the age 18.
The three played Titleist 910 drivers and 910F fairway woods, while Manassero and Bourdy had carried Titleist 910H hybrids and AP2 irons and McIlroy used MB irons. All played with Titleist Vokey Design wedges and Scotty Cameron putters with the Italian wonder boy using the Newport 2 model.
Ninety-six players in the field played the Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x ball, nearly five times the nearest competitor with 20.
