Impressive Victory by Cillegas
Cobra Golf Equipment Brand Ambassador Camilo Villegas secured an impressive victory at the Honda Classic to capture his third career PGA Tour victory. The Colombian carded a final round 68 to finish 13-under par, five strokes clear of his nearest competitor. The stylish Villegas impressed throughout the week with a controlled display of power and precision, showcasing his long, straight driving and imperious iron play to overpower his rivals. Camillo Villegas Among the equipment trusted by Villegas was the Cobra S9-1 Pro S driver and Pro CB irons, and with an average driving distance of 300 yards and a stroke average of 67 for the season so far, the Colombian truly believes in the equipment driving him up the World Golf Rankings (12th).
This week's victory caps a phenomenal start to the season for the Colombian, who has finished inside the top ten in each of his previous two events. Villegas' victory at PGA National also caps an impressive couple of weeks for Cobra, following Ian Poulter's recent victory at the WGC Accenture Match-Play Championship. Poulter trusted the new Cobra ZL Driver for his first World Golf Championship title, benefiting from the Advanced Multi-Material Construction and Adjustable Flight Technology that offers all golfers the ability to optimise their ball flight for maximum distance, accuracy and forgiveness.
